community well-being

All Children Thrive is proud to co-produce with our community members to formally help the design and improvement work in the network. We accomplish co-production through our Community Well-Being team, keeping the children and families at the center of our work and building relationships and trust for sustainable solutions.

Currently we have three standing Family meetings that take place weekly and monthly in Price Hill and Avondale.

Rising Strong

Rising Strong, one of our partner groups committed to ensuring that children are thriving at age 5, focuses on supporting Price Hill families as they raise babies who are healthy, happy and growing to become adventurous, thriving toddlers. They are doing this by connecting and unifying parents weekly around parenting strategies, family wellness and early childhood development.

Reading Bears

Caring Families Reading Bears and More is a parent partner group that meets weekly in Avondale to improve family literacy to ensure all children are reading on grade level by third grade. The group is also committed to supporting holistic family wellness so that everyone is healthy, thriving and able to reach their goals. In addition to providing literacy support, the group:

Community Feast

The Community Feast is where families, community members, and healthcare providers come together once a month to share a meal in a comfortable neighborhood setting, sharing their stories and building new connections. The benefits include:

Justice Promotors

In 2015-2016, the All Children Thrive Learning Network, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC), and Design Impact (DI) partnered with local residents to develop innovative ways to address community health.

In order to leverage their lived experiences, residents created the Justice Promoters prototype. This initiative allows residents to use their leadership skills to become advocates and champions for affordable, quality housing. Justice Promoters assist residents with information that can help residents in Avondale and Price Hill have a good quality of life and prevent evictions.
